Day 1

We went to church at the First Baptist Church at Buloxi, Mississippi. The service was a good one, and we learned about being on mission with God. First Baptist Church of buloxi has been a HUGE blessing on the commuity that was SO devestated after the hurricanes.
After lunch we toured the area and was just in awe at the devestation. When we were touring, we stopped at one particular homeowner who was in the process of rebuilding their house for the THIRD time. When we approached them and started asking them some questions about the hurricane, we were amazed at their generosity. They were SO appreciative of us being here, they offered us drinks and countless times thanked us for coming to help them out. It has really opened my eyes the the term "SELF-LESS" generosity.
The next couple of days will be interesting to see how the kids respond to the work. The will of GOD is evident here. In our session last evening, a lady by the name of Irene told her story of how the hurricane impacted the lives of her and her husband who is permantanly disabled. After hearing their story it really put in perspective the things that we take for granted. Our God is a good God and supplies ALL our needs.
The above picture just reminds me of how good our God is and how he will continue to supply the needs of the people of Buloxi.
